This year 2008 Munkfors will celebrate our 60 year`s anniversary. This means that we have been in the business since 1948 when the founder Anders Hallberg bought the basic equipment he needed and began work in a small shed in his father’s garden. Now, 60 years later, we can look back and see that the most importent point of time for our growth was in 1981 when Jarl, Anders´s son realized his idea about a grinding machine. This led Munkfors to be a world-leader in manufacturing bandsaw blades!
